Determining whether you need counselling can be a personal and introspective process. Any difficulties you are experiencing are valid and deserving of care. Seeking counselling is a proactive step towards better mental health and well-being. If you’re unsure, consider reaching out to a mental health professional who can help assess your situation and guide you on the next steps.

No, you typically do not need a doctor’s referral to see a counselor. You can usually contact a counselor directly to schedule an appointment. However, it’s always a good idea to check with your specific provider or insurance plan for any requirements.
