Biography
Originally I’m from Alberta, and moved to beautiful Vancouver Island in September of 2005. I’ve been passionate about fitness for many years and pursued a wide range of activities including, various martial arts, Karate, Judo and I hold a Black belt in Kung-Fu. I’ve been a runner for years completing many races of various distances, including six marathons.
After working for CN Railroad for 12 years, I decided to pursue fitness as a career. In 2000, I graduated from the Personal Fitness Training Program at NAIT, and have been working primarily in a rehab setting ever since. Early in my career I did Personal training, and I also taught a number of classes for Capital Health Authority, such as Water Works, Water Wellness, FIT and older adult classes.
Since moving to the Island I’ve worked in a Physiotherapy clinic, first at Sooke Evergreen Physiotherapy and currently at Parkway Physiotherapy in Sooke. I’m certified by BCRPA in the following areas: Personal Trainer, Aquatic Fitness, Older Adult, Weight Training and Fitness Theory. Other courses I’ve completed include the Stretch Teacher Training Program, and Stretch Therapist programs in 2007. Working together, let’s reach your health and fitness goals.
