Registered Massage Treatments

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a therapeutic technique focused on relieving muscle tension and addressing “knots.” Using oil or lotion, your RMT applies controlled, deeper pressure to target underlying muscle layers. It can be slow and relaxing or more intense, depending on your needs. Communication is key, as effective treatment doesn’t require pain—comfort is always a priority.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage focuses on enhancing performance and recovery for active individuals. It uses techniques like deep tissue work, stretching, and joint mobilization to reduce muscle tension, improve flexibility, and prevent injuries. Ideal for athletes or anyone with an active lifestyle, it supports your body’s peak performance and quick recovery.

Relaxation Massage

Relaxation Massage is a gentle, soothing technique designed to ease stress and promote overall calmness. Using smooth, flowing strokes with light pressure, it encourages relaxation, improves circulation, and helps you unwind. Perfect for reducing tension and restoring a sense of balance, this massage prioritizes comfort and tranquility.

Initial Visit: 60 minutes
Subsequent Visits: 60 minutes

Each session is carefully structured to address your specific needs. During the initial visit, we take time to assess your health history and goals to create a personalized treatment plan. Subsequent visits typically last for 60 minutes, ensuring you receive effective care tailored to your progress.

While no extensive preparation is required, here are a few things to keep in mind before your massage session:

  • Wear Comfortable Clothing: For your convenience, wear loose, comfortable clothing. If needed, you will be provided with a towel or sheet during the session for modesty.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before and after your session to help your body release toxins and stay hydrated.
  • Communicate Your Needs: Let your Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) know about any areas of tension, pain, or specific concerns. This will help them customize the treatment to meet your needs.
  • Arrive a Few Minutes Early: Arriving a bit early will give you time to relax and fill out any necessary forms if it’s your first visit.

By following these simple steps, you’ll get the most out of your massage therapy experience.

Massage therapy should not cause pain, though some discomfort might be felt depending on the technique used. It’s important to communicate with your Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) throughout the session. If something feels too intense or uncomfortable, let your therapist know so they can adjust the pressure to suit your needs.
For certain therapeutic techniques like deep tissue or sports massage, you may feel some soreness as your muscles are worked on to release tension. This is normal and should subside after the session. Your therapist will ensure that the pressure is within your comfort level.
Remember, the goal of a massage is to help you relax and feel better, so don’t hesitate to speak up if something feels off.

If you’re not comfortable with deep pressure, that’s completely okay! Massage therapy can be tailored to your preferences, and your Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) can adjust the pressure to suit your needs. Whether you prefer light or moderate pressure, it’s important to communicate openly with your therapist about your comfort level.
During your session, if at any point the pressure feels too intense or uncomfortable, don’t hesitate to let your therapist know. They’ll adjust accordingly to ensure a relaxing and beneficial experience that meets your needs.
