Rachel Marino

Registered Physiotherapist

MPT, BscKin

Biography

Rachel is a Registered Physiotherapist who completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University and her Master of Physical Therapy at Western University.

Rachel enjoys working with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and has a particular interest in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management. She has completed advanced training in Vestibular Rehabilitation through Duke University’s School of Medicine and uses infrared video goggles as part of her vestibular assessments to help identify subtle eye movements associated with dizziness and balance disorders.

Rachel’s interest in vestibular rehabilitation also comes from personal experience. Her own episodes of vertigo began while playing competitive soccer in youth and went unexplained for years before she came to understand them through the lens of vestibular migraine. This experience sparked her passion for helping people make sense of their dizziness, build confidence in movement, and get back to doing the things they love.

Outside the Clinic

Originally from Ontario, Rachel is excited to make Vancouver Island home and explore everything the West Coast has to offer. Outside the clinic, she loves staying active through soccer, snowboarding, hiking, and yoga. She also enjoys travelling, reading, music, and trying new cuisines!
