About Julia
Julia is passionate about movement, rehabilitation, and helping people get back to the activities they love. With extensive experience and a personalized approach, she takes the time to understand each client and create a plan that fits their goals — whether that’s getting up from the floor after playing with a grandchild or running their first 10K.
Born in Edmonton and raised in Victoria, Julia developed an interest in human movement and rehabilitation through her involvement in sport and through her own experiences with injury, including back surgery! These experiences have shaped the compassionate approach she brings to her practice. She understands firsthand the physical and emotional challenges that can come with pain, injury, and recovery.
Tailored Treatment
Julia believes every person and every injury is unique. She combines manual therapy, exercise prescription, IMS dry needling, and education with evidence-informed care and clinical reasoning to create individualized treatment plans.
She sees rehabilitation as a collaborative process and loves helping clients understand their injuries, feel empowered in their recovery, and — importantly — have a little fun along the way. Her exuberant personality is always part of the experience!
Special Interests
Julia has a particular interest in orthopedic injuries, especially helping those with low back and neck pain, knee osteoarthritis, and shoulder injuries. Her clinical experience and post-graduate education have given her the skills to help clients manage pain, restore movement and strength, and return to the activities that matter most.
With a background in competitive swimming and aquatics instruction, Julia also has a special connection to aquatic rehabilitation. She developed a pool physiotherapy program that combines her passion for rehabilitation with the benefits of exercising in water. She has since passed this program onto her colleague Maria at the local YMCA in Langford.

What Patients Say About Julia
“Julia Grant is an amazing Physio!
I have been seeing her for a few years now following a car accident. She has been exceptional in every way.”

Beyond the Clinic
Outside of physiotherapy, Julia loves spending time outdoors in the Westshore with her husband, daughter, and dog Hunter — whom she may be just a little obsessed with! When she’s not at the soccer pitch with her daughter, she’s usually exploring the woods and beaches with Hunter.
Julia also has an adventurous streak, although it doesn’t always come without consequences. At an all-inclusive resort in Mexico, she decided a water obstacle course was worth the risk and ended up tearing her ACL. She’s also known for her daily work snack of “warm pocket cheese,” proving that even physiotherapists make questionable choices!
