Biography

Kristen graduated from The University of British Columbia with a Masters of Physiotherapy. Prior to this she completed her Bachelors degree with Honours in Kinesiology at The University of Victoria.

Throughout her schooling, Kristen volunteered at MOVE Adapted Fitness, Special Olympics, Wheelchair Canada, and with various sports teams. Kristen has also completed further education in falls prevention, a variety of manual therapy techniques, and her IMS/ Dry needling certification.

Kristen was born and raised in Victoria. She was inspired to pursue a career in physiotherapy after years of competing in high-level sports and experiencing many injuries herself. She grew up participating in a variety of athletics including soccer, volleyball, water skiing, as well as baseball and snow skiing. When Kristen isn’t working she is enjoying the outdoors and everything the west coast has to offer with her friends and family.

Kristen has a passion for movement, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. Her practice is unique in that she specializes in treating both orthopaedic clients as well as neurological conditions. Whether you’re a 16 year old recovering from an ACL tear playing soccer or a 65 year old recovering from a stroke, Kristen has the tools and experience to help you reach your goals. Kristen has a passion for working alongside athletes and individuals with stroke, Parkinson’s, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and spinal cord injury.

Kristen believes in evidence informed practice and uses a combination of education, pain science, manual therapy, neurological impairment strategies and frameworks, as well as individualized exercise programming to help her patients reach their goals. She aims to make physiotherapy an enjoyable experience for each of her clients!
