Biography

Roman was born in western Ukraine and brought up in Brandon, Manitoba. He grew up playing competitive volleyball and soccer, which sparked his passion for physical activity and put him on the path towards becoming a physiotherapist.

After completing a BSc in Chemistry at Brandon University, Roman moved to Winnipeg to get his Master’s in Physical Therapy. While studying at the University of Manitoba, Roman was recognized for his involvement on the student council, and for covering national sports events such as the Manitoba Marathon, Manitoba Golf Open, and MHSAA volleyball tournaments.

Roman is a strong believer in lifelong education and using evidence-based approaches in his practice. Having completed an array of clinical placements from private sports clinics to spinal cord rehab, Roman understands the value in unique, patient-centred treatment. He uses a multi-modal, hands-on approach to help his patients reach their goals. Roman has already completed his Orthopedic Level 1, and plans to pursue certifications in Acupuncture and NDT in the future.

When Roman isn’t at the clinic, you can find him exploring the island, playing volleyball, or trying out a new hobby.
