Biography
My name is Vitaly, but you can call me Vito. I’m a 4th generation Doctor, and I studied at one of the best Russian Medical Educational institutions – State Volgograd Medical University and graduated in 2008. I was granted a doctoral degree, majoring in general medicine. Then, I completed a residency in Neurology and post-graduate training in Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy. In 2009, I started my work with the Russian National Youth Swimming team as a Massage Therapist and Physical Training Consultant. In 2011, I became a Sports Doctor of the Russian National Youth Swimming team, then was promoted to Lead Sports Doctor of the Youth team.
In 2015, I was granted the great honour of becoming a Lead Sports Doctor of the Russian Olympic Swimming team. 2015-2023, as a Lead Doctor, was responsible for preparing the Russian National Olympic Swimming team for all international competitions, including the Olympic Games 2016 (Rio) 2020-21 (Tokyo) and all World and European Swimming championships. During my work with the National team, I have gained extensive experience in sports physiology, therapeutic and rehabilitative physiotherapy, and vast knowledge in the field of biomechanics of the human body, massage and sports nutrition. My experience and hard work helped dozens of athletes win medals and set sports records in competitions ranging from regional level to Olympic gold.
Throughout my life I was engaged in various sports including boxing, judo, kickboxing, basketball, but power lifting became my true love! After finishing my medical education, I realized I was interested in Power sports as both an athlete and a coach. After this, I won multiple competitions in the RAW Bench press doping control category at different power sports levels.
One of my greatest achievements is that I am a Winner of the 2018 World Cup (AWPA). Also, I trained athletes from the National Swimming team in the gym to gain physical strength and build muscles correctly to achieve world-class results during competitions.
I’m lucky to be a happy dad of 3 lovely children and a husband of a remarkable woman! My wife and I met while studying at medical school, and from the moment we met, we have always gone toe-to-toe exploring this incredible, amazing, vibrant world and opening it up to our children.
I know and believe that the body can heal itself from many problems with the help of movement and exercises- my slogan is “Movement is life!” The main thing is that this movement should be performed correctly and under the supervision of an experienced specialist.
